Full Joy

Text Verse: John 15:11 ESV “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.”

This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that comes from God.
The Word of God brings spiritual sustenance, spiritual nutrients, and spiritual strength. It gives us the instruction, direction and guidance we need for the day.

Every day the Lord provides us with new supply of His blessings, with new opportunities to showcase His goodness, and with new territories of influence to conquer for His glory. We thank God for all that He has done and what He is about to do. Being grateful makes our heart be clear from any worry, complaints and discontent.

Psalms 16:11 ESV
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

What are the truths about the Joy of the Lord?

  • We are designed to be filled with the Joy of the Lord. (God does not intend for you to have partial joy, but He wants you to have complete, full, satisfying joy that comes from Him.)
  • Real Joy only comes from Jesus and not from anything else. (Joy is a gift from God.)
  • Happiness depends on external circumstances but Joy depends on the inner dwelling of God’s presence in you.
  • Joy is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. (It means that it is a result not something you force to produce. When God’s presence resides in you it manifests with the fruit of the Spirit.)
  • Joy comes when we abide in God’s love and righteousness. (John 15:10 ESV
“If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.”)

John 16:22‭-‬24 ESV
“So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”

The Lord knows what we are going through. But God knows that your present situation is not your final destination. He has destined you to experience the abundant life, to rule and reign to which He has called you and to have the fullness of joy.
So the key in having FULL JOY is to have a strong relationship, deep connection, and complete faith in God. He promised that we can commune with Him and that we can ask anything in His Name and He will grant it.

Lord, we thank You for the Joy you have given us. We declare the victory you already finsihed in our lives. We ask for provision for all our needs, protection from all harm, and promotion that comes from you alone. Let your kingdom manifest in our lives, in our families, in our community, and in the area of gifting you have called us to have dominion. We ask this according to Your will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
