Way to the Father

Text Verse: John 14:6 NLT Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
Context: John 14:1-14

God has prepared a place for us. He always prepares everything first before He put us in it. He puts us in situations where we think we are unprepared, but God is never unprepared. He is always ahead of us. He will not let you fail because you are His child. God never fails. God does not panic for He knows all things. He has considered all the variables, all the events that will take place in your life – even your mistakes. For He works out Everything for the good of those who love Him. In His eyes, your struggle is a setup, your test is a testimony, your problems are opportunities, your opposition are your allies for promotion, your circumstances are conducive conditions for victory.

Psalms 139:23‭-‬24 “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.”

Deuteronomy 19:9 “you must designate three additional cities of refuge. (He will give you this land if you are careful to obey all the commands I have given you—if you always love the Lord your God and walk in his ways.)”

What does it mean that Jesus is the Way? If He is the only Way, what are we supposed to do?

1. WILLFULLY OBEY HIS COMMANDS. Success is obedience to principles. When we obey God, our victory is assured and our life is secured. Hindi ka pipilitin ni Lord pero kapag sumunod ka Sakanya hindi pwedeng hindi Niya gawin ang pinangako Niya sa utos na yun. Ang magulang nagbibigay ng utos para sa ikabubuti ng anak. May panahon na hindi natin maunawaan o hindi natin feel gawin pero alam natin na mahal tayo at para sa ikalalago natin iyon. Obey and live. Disobey and die. If we violate it the results will be clear and it will not bring any good. Disobedience leads to death. If you violate the law of gravity and jump off the top of a 10 storey building, you will fall and die. Kahit ano pang paniwala mo o iniisip mo, ang batas ay nakaset na. His commands are good and leads to life everlasting. The result and bottomline of following the Lord is we get to experience the best God has to offer now and beyond this temporary earthly life.
2. ALWAYS ASK FOR HIS GUIDANCE. Ask for wisdom and God will generously supply you with it. This means continuously communing with the Holy Spirit. God the Father is in heaven, God the Son is in heaven (sitting at the right of the Father), God the Holy Spirit is here with us on earth. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit before he ascended into heaven. The Holy Spirit teaches us of all things – the right decisions, which road to take, when is the right timing, who is the right person to talk to. Jesus promised that He will not leave us as orphans. He gave us security by giving the Holy Spirit.
3. YEARN FOR MORE OF HIM. Our daily walk with God, our relationship with Him grows as we actively seek Him and know of Him. This lifetime or even beyond this life is not enough to completely know God. He is so awesome and magnificent that what we know of Him is what He only revealed. Kung ang kalawakan ay sobrang laki na hindi masukat at patuloy na lumalaki. Papaano pa kaya ang Diyos na lumikha ng kalawakan? Katulad din sa ating asawa na patuloy na nadidiskubre mo ang ibang aspeto ng kanilang pagkatao o personalidad, yung mga bagay na ngayon mo lang nakita. There is so much more about God that we have not discovered. But as we grow our relationship with Him, He reveals more of Himself, of His goodness and love for us.

Jesus said that there in no other Way to the Father except through Him. The way to life is by Obeying His Laws, Asking for His Guidance and Yearning for more of Him. We are secured in the Father’s love knowing that He never stops thinking for our good and that He has prepared every provision, every solution, every thing that we need to live a victorious life. The Lord our God is our refuge and strong tower.
